  2. Motorcycle Safety: Basic Rider Course One-Weekend Version

Prerequisite(s): You must be at least 15 and have a stage 1 or higher Michigan driver's license.

If you've never ridden a motorcycle, this class will teach you how. You'll learn the mental and physical skills needed to ride on public roads and become licensed. You'll ride two-wheeled manual-shift-and-clutch motorcycles provided by WCC on our riding range. This is our most physically and mentally intense version of the Basic Rider Course.

You must be able to balance and support a two-wheeled motorcycle and operate manual hand and foot controls for shifting and braking; have health insurance or be self-insured; and sign a liability waiver if you're 18 or older. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the liability waiver at the start of the class. The Michigan Secretary of State's office waives its required motorcycle rider skills test if you successfully complete this class. For more information, visit Motorcycle Licensing.
